Tenant Safety: Requires landlords of nontransient or transient apartments to require employees to undergo background screenings as condition of employment; specifies requirements for employee background screenings; authorizes landlords to disqualify persons from employment relating to criminal offenses; revises what constitutes reasonable notice for repairs of dwelling units; requires public lodging establishments licensed as nontransient or transient apartments to take certain actions relating to employee background screenings & keys for dwelling units; requires such establishments to provide proof of compliance to Division of Hotels & Restaurants of DBPR upon request. Effective Date: July 1, 2022
