SB 1522 Elections (2024 Session)
Elections; Requiring that the Secretary of State be elected rather than appointed and serve a specified term; requiring the Florida Commission on Offender Review to develop and maintain a database for a specified purpose; repealing provisions relating to the Office of Election Crimes and Security; authorizing a person who meets certain requirements to register to vote at an early voting site or at his or her polling place and to immediately thereafter cast a ballot; authorizing the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to preregister certain individuals to vote; prohibiting local governments, state agencies, and state officials from implementing or enforcing actions that result in, will result in, or are intended to result in specified disparities or impairments, etc. Effective Date: 7/1/2024
