Emergency Treatment for Opioid Overdose; Cites this act as the "Emergency Treatment and Recovery Act"; defining terms; providing a purpose; authorizing certain health care practitioners to prescribe and dispense an emergency opioid antagonist to a patient or caregiver under certain conditions; authorizing pharmacists to dispense an emergency opioid antagonist under certain circumstances; authorizing storage, possession, and administration of an emergency opioid antagonist by a patient or caregiver and certain emergency responders; providing immunity from liability; providing immunity from professional sanction or disciplinary action for certain health care practitioners and pharmacists, under certain circumstances; providing applicability; providing that a duty or standard of care is not created by the section, etc. Effective Date: upon becoming a law
