Property Insurance Claims: Establishes mandatory procedure for resolution of disputed property insurance claims; requires insurers to notify policyholders of mandatory procedure; requires DFS to prepare consumer information pamphlet to be provided to policyholders; authorizes policyholder or insurer to file petition with Division of Administrative Hearings to resolve certain claims; specifies that parties to claim must bear cost of certain conferences; requires administrative law judge to dismiss petitions that do not contain specified information; requires that petition include certain certification; specifies that dismissal of petition or portion of petition is without prejudice & does not require hearing; requires insurer to pay requested claim or file response to petition within specified timeframe; requires administrative law judge to make final determination of total coverage amount within specified timeframe; requires such amount to be paid in specified manner. Effective Date: July 1, 2026
