SB 1044 Child Welfare (2017 Session)
Child Welfare; Providing that central abuse hotline information may be used for employment screening of residential group home caregivers; providing that confidential records held by the department concerning reports of child abandonment, abuse, or neglect, including reports made to the central abuse hotline and all records generated as a result of such reports, may be accessed for employment screening of residential group home caregivers; requiring a court to consider maltreatment allegations against a parent in an evidentiary hearing relating to a dependency petition; establishing a shared family care residential services pilot program for substance-exposed newborns, etc. Effective Date: Except as otherwise expressly provided in this act, this act shall take effect July 1, 2017
