Summary
Prohibited Insurance Practices: Revises prohibition on certain public adjuster activities; provides responsibilities & prohibits activities of licensed contractors & subcontractors under certain conditions; prohibits certain persons & entities from accepting referral fee, commission, bonus, kickback, or rebate, or engaging in any split-fee arrangement, in connection with certain repair, mitigation, or restoration services; provides duties of DFS; provides civil & criminal penalties. Effective Date: July 1, 2016
