HB 1451 Custodial Interrogation of Minors (2023 Session)
Custodial Interrogation of Minors: Provides presumption of inadmissibility for confessions of certain minors which are made as result of custodial interrogation at place of detention if deceptive tactics are used; specifies circumstances under which presumption may be overcome; provides that state attorney has burden of proving that such confessions were voluntary. Effective Date: July 1, 2023
