Specialty Contractors: Revises date on which local government licensing of certain occupations expires; requires Construction Industry Licensing Board to establish certified specialty contractor categories for voluntary licensure; prohibits local governments from imposing new licensing requirements for specialty contractors; authorizes critical state concern county to offer license for certain job scopes; prohibits local government from requiring license as prerequisite to submit bid for public works projects. Effective Date: July 1, 2023
