SB 332 Public Records/Hate Crimes Reporting Act (2023 Session)
Public Records/Hate Crimes Reporting Act; Requiring the Attorney General, rather than the Governor, through the Department of Law Enforcement, to collect and disseminate specified information; expanding a public records exemption to include the collection and dissemination of data on incidents of criminal acts that evidence prejudice pursuant to ss. 775.085 and 775.0863, F.S.; providing for future review and repeal of the expanded exemption; providing a statement of public necessity, etc. Effective Date: On the same date that SB 330 or similar legislation takes effect, if such legislation is adopted in the same legislative session or an extension thereof and becomes a law
