Collateral Consequences and Penalties for Criminal Offenses: Adopts Uniform Collateral Consequences of Convictions Act; provides duties of DLA concerning certain laws providing for collateral consequences of criminal convictions; requires certain notices be provided to criminal defendants; specifies criteria to be used by decisionmakers considering imposing disqualifications on persons convicted of criminal offenses; provides for effects of convictions from other states; provides for certificates of restoration of rights; proving for construction of such certificates; revises restrictions of possession & sale of cannabis; revises penalties for offenses involving cannabis paraphernalia; provides for automatic sealing of certain convictions form minor cannabis offenses. Effective Date: July 1, 2022
