SB 1952 Health Care Expenses (2021 Session)
Health Care Expenses; Providing additional personal property exemptions from legal process for medical debts resulting from services provided in certain licensed facilities; requiring a licensed facility to post on its website a consumer-friendly list of standard charges for shoppable health care services; prohibiting a licensed facility from engaging in extraordinary collection actions to obtain certain payments; requiring each health insurer to provide an insured with an advance explanation of benefits after receiving a patient estimate from a facility for scheduled services, etc. Effective Date: Except as otherwise expressly provided in this act, this act shall take effect July 1, 2021
