Summary
Construction Liens and Bonds: Requires copy of notice of nonpayment be served on surety; requires waivers or releases be in specified forms unless claimant's or lienor's contract requires use of other forms; provides specified provisions in waivers or releases are unenforceable; revises process for notarizing forms; authorizes lienor to record one claim of lien for multiple direct contracts; revises requirements for notice of commencement & notice of termination; requires service of documents be made in specified manner; authorizes attorney fees; provides immunity to issuing authority for failing to verify specified information has been filed. Effective Date: July 1, 2021
