Defendants with Mental Illness: Requires jail staff to screen each misdemeanor defendant for mental health disorders; requires authorized professional certificate if evaluation demonstrates criteria for involuntary examination; provides duties and procedures in such cases; provides for considerations upon defendant's successful completion of all recommendations from mental health assessment. Effective Date: July 1, 2019
