SB 322 Preexisting Conditions (2019 Session)
Preexisting Conditions; Defining the terms “operative date” and “preexisting medical condition” with respect to health insurance policies and group, blanket, and franchise health insurance policies; requiring insurers and health maintenance organizations, contingent upon the occurrence of either of two specified events, to make at least one comprehensive major medical health insurance policy or health maintenance contract available to all residents of this state within a specified timeframe; prohibiting such insurers or health maintenance organizations from excluding or delaying coverage under such policies or contracts due to preexisting medical conditions, etc. Effective Date: 7/1/2019
