HB 579 Land Use and Development (2025 Session)
Land Use and Development: Requires counties & municipalities, respectively, to meet specified requirements regarding minimum information necessary for certain zoning applications; prohibits school district from collecting, charging, or imposing any alternative fee for concurrency for educational facilities that does not meet certain requirements; specifies certain purposes for which local governments may use certain fees to carry out activities relating to obtaining or finalizing building permit; prohibits imposition or collection of amenity dues except as provided in recreational covenant; prohibits recreational covenant from requiring association to collect amenity dues; requires specified disclosure summary beginning on date certain for contracts for sale of certain parcels; requires any contract or agreement for sale of parcel governed by homeowners’ association & subject to recreational covenant to refer to & incorporate such disclosure after date certain. Effective Date: October 1, 2025
