Historical Records Concerning Enslaved Individuals: Prohibits certain acts relating to sale & trade of enslaved individuals; provides exceptions; establishes specified penalties for violations of this act; granting DOS responsibility to oversee this act; granting Attorney General power to bring civil actions for violations; requires DOS to use existing state resources to fund this act; requires DOS to establish online reporting system for certain purpose. Effective Date: July 1, 2025
