HB 821 Business Development Incentives for Veterans and Military Spouses (2025 Session)
Business Development Incentives for Veterans and Military Spouses: Defines "veteran-owned or military spouse-owned business"; provides for contracting preferences for such businesses; requires DOS to waive specified fees for certain businesses; provides eligibility requirements for fee waivers; provides specified tax exemptions for certain businesses; requires Department of Revenue to develop procedures for such exemptions; provides that such exemptions apply for specified period for certain businesses relocating to this state; establishes Veteran & Military Spouse Entrepreneurship Program in consultation with Department of Commerce; provides requirements for program; requires that certain businesses receive expedited processing for certain certifications. Effective Date: upon becoming a law
