Notaries Public: Revises criminal penalties for false or fraudulent acknowledgements; removes civil penalty relating to provision that prohibits notary public from notarizing signature on document of person who is not, at time of notarial act, physically present or present by means of audio-video communication technology; provides criminal penalties. Effective Date: July 1, 2024
