Health Care for Inmates: Provides requirements for involuntary examinations of inmates, placement & treatment of inmate in mental health treatment facility, & filing petitions for involuntary inpatient placement for inmates; provides requirements for emergency & psychotropic medications, use of force, & management & treatment for self-injurious behaviors; requires wardens to consult with inmate’s treating physician & make certain determinations; provides for petitions to compel inmate to submit to medical treatment; provides requirements for inmate capacity, health care advance directives, & proxies. Effective Date: July 1, 2024
