SB 290 Criminal Justice (2017 Session)
Criminal Justice; Requiring that a court sentence a defendant who is convicted of a primary offense of possession of a controlled substance committed on or after a specified date to a nonstate prison sanction under certain circumstances; creating the Sentencing Commission within the Supreme Court; requiring the Office of the State Courts Administrator to act as staff for the commission; authorizing a nonstate prison sanction under a prison diversion program for certain offenders who commit a nonviolent felony of the second degree on or after a specified date, etc. Effective Date: 10/1/2017
