Summary
Legislative and Congressional Redistricting; Creating an independent commission on legislative and congressional redistricting; providing for the purpose, membership, and duties of the commission; providing public hearing and reporting requirements of the commission; providing for legislative appropriations; exempting the commission from the rulemaking requirements of the Administrative Procedure Act, etc. Effective Date: Upon approval by the electors of SJR 1254, or a similar joint resolution having substantially the same specific intent and purpose, if that joint resolution is approved by the electors at the general election to be held in November 2016
