HB 1221 Protection of Children (2014 Session)
Protection of Children: Requires statewide team of child protection investigators to respond to child's death or disappearance; requires DCF to disclose basic facts of all fatalities & near fatalities of children which result from child abuse or neglect; requires that reports & disclosures be posted on DCF's website; provides requirements for release of information if investigation of fatality is pending, if report of fatality is true, or if report of fatality is unsubstantiated; prohibits certain information relating to fatality of child from being released; requires each community-based care lead agency to submit an annual report on damage claims relating to children injured while in care or custody of agency. Effective Date: July 1, 2014
