Damages in Negligence Actions: Provides that claimant in certain negligence actions may recover damages for cost of medical or health care services only if such services are medically necessary; provides methodology to calculate award; specifies evidence that is admissible & inadmissible in determining award; requires alternative calculation if certain insurers file lien or subrogation claim; prohibits use of finding of medical necessity for certain purposes; provides applicability. Effective Date: upon becoming a law
