HB 861 Health Care (2013 Session)
Health Care: Creates "Florida Health Care Freedom Act"; provides statement of public policy & findings relating to federal Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act (PPACA); prohibits state or political subdivisions from implementing health care exchange under PPACA or imposing penalties that violate public policy set forth in this act; prohibits health insurer from accepting remuneration that may result in imposition of penalties contrary to public policy set forth in this act; provides for suspension of noncompliant insurer's license; prescribes duties of Attorney General for enforcement of this act. Effective Date: July 1, 2013
