HB 1315 Independent Living (2013 Session)
Independent Living: Revises provisions for jurisdiction of a child found to be dependent; provides that court retains jurisdiction until child reaches a certain age; provides for transition plan after child reaches specified age; provides requirements for extended foster care; provides duties of department, community-based care lead agency, & case manager; provides for court jurisdiction, reviews, & review hearings; provides for appointment of a guardian ad litem; requires information sharing; provides for adoption; specifies foster parent room & board rates; authorizes community-based care service providers to pay for certain services; provides for Road-to-Independence Program for young adults; & creates Independent Living Services Advisory Council. Effective Date: January 1, 2014
