HB 397 Constitutional Amendments (2013 Session)
Constitutional Amendments: Provides that word count limitations on ballot summaries & ballot titles apply to constitutional amendments or revisions proposed by joint resolution; deletes provision that permits placing full text of amendment or revision to State Constitution on ballot; deletes authority of Attorney General to prepare revised ballot title or ballot summary when all ballot statements embodied in joint resolution are defective; deletes judicial authority to retain jurisdiction over revised ballot title or ballot summary prepared by Attorney General; deletes authorization to place full text of amendment or revision on ballot; deletes certain legal presumptions. Effective Date: July 1, 2013
